Preparation
Through rigorous academics, personalized learning, and strong relationships, Building 21 schools prepare students not only for post-secondary education, but for maintaining a purposeful, well-balanced life.
Current public school funding fails to provide adequate resources to meet the needs of the students in our schools. Over 90% of our families live in poverty. Research shows that students living in poverty face greater obstacles on their pathways to success. However, research also shows that school models that intentionally and thoughtfully address the unique needs of young people can have a dramatic positive impact on life outcomes. To provide this model of learning and care, Building 21 raises funds to close the gap between public funding and the funding required to fully address our students’ needs.
